HPE and Hypros have partnered to offer workflow and logistics optimization services that can be delivered cost‑effectively, reliably, and securely over a hospital or clinic’s existing network. To do this, the internal BLE radios of the HPE Aruba Networking access points are used to collect BLE beacon data and forward it to the Hypros software platform for processing.

Using the HPE Aruba Networking access points as listening devices, the BLE transmissions from Hypros and partner tags are relayed to the Hypros cloud platform or any on‑premises edge device for processing.

The HPE Aruba Networking access points serve as a secure communication platform between the beacons and the platform. Dynamic segmentation is maintained by the HPE Aruba Networking switch fabric and helps protect the system from attacks and the network from infected devices.

The Hypros system consists of three elements:

• The Hypros on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure database, which collects, stores, and processes data of any use case
• BLE beacons, which are available in many form factors and can be worn as pendants, attached to beds, or attached to clipboards and devices (those beacons can be chosen vendor independent to accommodate best fit for customers’ use cases)
• BLE sensors track the movement, functions, and statuses of the beacons for many use cases
